At Mountain Leather Co., I believe in the power of collaboration and the magic of equestrian sports.
Through sponsorships, I aim to support and uplift individuals, events, and teams that share my passion for the equestrian world.
Whether you’re an individual rider aiming for the stars, an event that celebrates equestrian and canine prowess, or a team with shared goals, I offer a range of sponsorship opportunities tailored to fit diverse needs.
As a craftsman deeply embedded in the equestrian community, I understand the dedication, hard work, and passion it takes. When you partner with Mountain Leather Co., you’re not just getting a sponsor; you’re joining a family that values tradition, craftsmanship, and the love for equestrian sports.
Hey! I’m Grace O’Greysik, a Barrel Racer from Edmonton, Alberta. This year I’ll be turning 16. My riding career began when I was pretty little, in English camps and the occasional trail ride. I then got my first horse, Chubbie, and we spent our time riding around my grandparents farm, bareback. Since then I have been lucky enough to jockey some pretty cool horses, but right now I just have my main guy, Chase My Jets. Our goals this year include attending bigger races, such as The Big Bang and The ABRA Finals! Some of my favourite Mountain Leather Co products include my custom belt, leather noseband, breastcollar and jewelry case (which all match, by the way). I’m beyond honoured and so happy to have been chosen for the Mountain Leather Co 2024 sponsorship team, and am excited to see what the future holds!
Hi I’m Charlee Thomas, a 14 year old barrel racer in BC. My current riding goals are enjoying high school rodeos with my horses and eventually completing at a higher level. I chose Mountain Leather Co, because Dani was my riding coach when I was 7 and taught me so much about riding and horsemanship. When she started leatherworking she made me a noseband (along with other tack) for my heart horse. Years later I still love her work and have continued to buy other items from her store for both myself and for gifts. I look forward to seeing her future projects and continuing to support her business.
Hi! My name is Morgan Walmsley, I live just outside of Sudbury Ontario! My riding career began when I was 6 with regular English lessons, eventually getting into the hunters, jumpers and eventing with my late gelding, Babe. I began getting into barrel racing when I was 13 and I have not looked back or regretted my choice for a single second since! Since I've made the switch I've been lucky enough to run some pretty special horses and ride/train under some of the best coaches/clinicians who I can't thank enough! My current horse is LL Playboy Country, or 'Seven', or lovingly known as "Mr.perfect". He’s a 10 year old, grey AQHA gelding who I've been lucky enough to be his person for almost 5 years now. He is quirky, but so fun and was exactly what I never knew I needed. I am beyond thankful for every last time I'm on his back. We have some big goals this season with some bigger NBHA shows, as well as a full season of local jackpots alongside cattle sorting and clinics! Seven and I can't wait to sport all of our Mountain Leather Co, tack this season! We already have drink holders (Can't trail ride without those!), a custom noseband for Mr.perfect and will soon be adding to our collection. We are honored to be sponsored by Mountain Leather Co for the 2024 season and can't wait to see where this takes us!
Hello, my name is Sheraton. I grew up on Backbone Ranch near Bluffton AB, my family raises sheep and I have started breeding Pony Of Americas. I grew up with horses but over the last couple of years, I started training and showing POA’s. I have always loved showing, I have been able to show a little bit of everything throughout the years but my true passion falls with Western Pleasure. I have had some amazing opportunities over the years and I can't wait to see where this experience takes me. I will be riding in a couple of shows this summer with a couple of young horses and my show mare. Dani has always been a big supporter of me and our ranch so I love being able to show my support of Dani. I am honored to be runner up and to have this amazing chance to represent Mountain Leather Co this show year. Thank you again Mountain Leather Co.
My name is Ella Barkman and I’m a seventeen year old rider. I own a little Chestnut Arabian gelding, and we have recently been competing in Working Equitation competitions across Alberta. I’ve been riding horses for over ten years, and grew up the 4-H program with Looma Lights Light Horse 4H. This coming competition season I hope to be competing in four Working Equitation shows throughout Southern Alberta, as well as The Cross Nation Cup in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. I am so grateful for these opportunities including this sponsorship from Mountain Leather Co. I look forward to riding for your brand and creating amazing memories in 2024!
My name is Courtney Roehl and I live near Gilbert Plains with my husband, Kris, and our two daughters, Layla and Phoebe. I have been involved in the horse community for a few years being involved with the Ashern Horse Association, Manitoba Gymkhana Rodeo Association, Gilbert Plains Horse Show, and being the organizer for the Gilbert Plains Barrels and Poles Series and the Gilbert Plains Barrels and Ballgowns Fundraising Event. My daughter also competes in the Manitoba High School Rodeo Circuit, the Heartland Rodeo Circuit, and the North Interlake Show Circuit. Our weekends from May to October are spent on the road attending numerous rodeos and horse shows. If you see me at one of these events come over and say “Hi” and see what Mountain Leather Co has to offer!
My name is Angela Barkman and I am part off the backbone of team Ella/Dexter. I was raised on a big farm in the Peace Country and I had the privilege of growing up competing and riding with a variety of horses and in many disciplines. These days I am happy to work hard behind the scenes for my beautiful daughter Ella and all of our horse adventures. From driving our rig across this fine province all summer to making delicious meals in the LQ, I am always up for the face paced life of a horse show mom! The deal Ella and I have is that when horse show season is over, it’s my turn to head to the mountains or whatever trail is calling my name. It is a good life we have and we are both thrilled to “ride for the brand” with Mountain Leather Co. in 2024.
